ELECTION OF PRESIDENT. (By Telegraph.—Press CHBISTCHURCH, Friday. At a meeting- of the board of the >>w Zealand TrntUnp Association to-nigrht Mr. P. Sclisr was unanimously re-elected president, an olllee he has held continuously since the foundation of the association in 1899. Mr. J. 11. Williams was elected vicepresident, and Mr. W. J. Hopkins treasurer. It was decided to empower Messrs. i. Seli? and C. r. .Marks to cite F. Johnston, or Sydney, to appear before them durinfr their approaching- visit to Australia, so that they lutsrht make full inquiries, into Johnston's transactions with horses. Applications by the Whakatane Racing - Club and 1". Hull for the removal of the disqualification imposed upon the hor.-es Koro. Ena, and Wild Hebe were granted. A similar application in respect tv N.atui'u'3 Uetitlemau was refused.
