NEW COASTAL STEAMER.
The South Xaranaki Shipping Company's new steamer Inaha was launched at Jlontrose, Scotland, on Thursday krt, Mrs. J. Gibson (wife of Mr. Gib*>a, of Gibson and Peterson, Welling-tons-performing the ceremony. Built at tie yards of the Coaster Construction Company, the steamer is from the •wne hands as the Muritai. She is 110 ft long, 23ft beam, and 10ft moulded depth, engined with 300 b.h.p. twin■*lbw • semi-Diesel engines, built by and Sons, of Newbury, England. With a cargo carrying capacity of 200 to** dead-weight the steamer will be of size for trade over the «tta bar for which she is intended. f* building of the steamer was superintended by Mr. F. W. Grainger, of *"»tta, manager for the owners. She *ill come out via the Suez Canal under Mr own power, leaving Scotland the Bfrt week in September, and being due "> Wellington about the middle of November.
