SEVEX STEAMERS COMING. Seven steamers laden with English and South African coal are approaching Australia, owing to the recent threatened shortage of interstate supplies, on account of the coal strike on the Maitland

According to information received in .Sydney, two steamers from South Africa are approaching South Australian ports, while another five are bound from the Tyne to Adelaide and Melbourne. The steamer Deansway, of 4454 tons, left the Tyne on June 19 ■with a full cargo of coal for Adelaide, and -waa followed on' June 30 by the steamers Kingcadwallon, of 5133 tone, Alson, of 3955 tons and Mary Lylock of 6232 tons. The steamer Scottish Monarch, of 5658 tone, is alio coining from the Tyne to Melbourne. Two South African shipments are earned l>y the steamer Ben Xevie, of 3904 tone, coming from Delagoa Bay to Wallaroo; and I>y the steamer Geddie/fton Court, of 4013 tons, en route from Durban to Adelaide. p.
