VICTORIA LEAGUE.
. _ # _ PRESENTATION TO SECRETARY. A business meeting of the Victoria league at the Lyceum Club last niolit was followed by a social, at which members and friends took occasion to farewell Miss A. Holland, who has been Tor seven years secretary of the Leapuc, and is about to leave on a holiday trip to England. .-\n address on prescut-Uav problems was given by the R.v. \V. C. Monckton, and musical items were contributed by Miss Bowles, JJJa. Hutchmson, and Mr. K. Impett. Messrs, Lind Mitchell and W. J. Xapier and Miss Mowbray spoke in appreciation of the work done by Miss Holland in her service for the club a< secretary, and on behalf of the members the president presented lier with a gold wristlet watch and a turquoise and pearl pendant. At the business meeting it was decided to raise the annual subscription from 2/G to 5/, and the life membership from £2 2/ to £3 3/.
