BOT SHOOTS HIS SISTER. PLAYING WITH FATHER'S GUN. (By Telegraph —Press Association.* DUNEDIN. this day. At the inquest on Evelyn Florence Taylor, who waa accidentally shot by her brother, as reported in an earlier telegram, the father stated that he was generally careful not to leave live cartridges iii his gun. but he must have forgotten to remove a nmiidjre on this oeeaeion when hurrying to work.
Alfred Henry Taylor, aged 11, stated that he picked'up the gun for fun. He didn't aim at anyone when he pulled the trigger. Hiseister was moving, and came in the line of fire.
Medical evidence showed that the deceased had a large wound in the back and chest, and the lungs were lacerated.
In finding a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence, the coroner drew attention to the consequences of carelessness in leaving loaded weapons about." So far as the boy was concerned the fatality was pure misadventure.
