MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The management committee of tbe Auckland Rugby League met last evening, Mr. W. J. Hammlll presiding. The City Club forwarded an appeal from the decision of the committee ln ruling that Stormont was , not eligible to play ou the ground that he .had failed to fill ln correctly the registrajtlon form. Tbe appeal was sent on to tbe ;New Zealand Council. The conduct of I some you tha on the stand at Carta w Park was brought before tbe committee, and It was decided that any recurrence would be severely dealt with. The Wellington League wrote asking for a match against Auckland, at Auckland, after they visited Hamilton for the Northern Union Cup. Mr. F. Wilson, of the South Anckland League, .holders of the cup, waited on the commit- , tee in connection with this matter and ' 'stated that his league wished the challenge match played at Hamilton on a Saturday and Auckland to meet Wellington on a | Wednesday. It was decided to give effect |to tbe request and suggest that Wellington {should play South Auckland at Hamilton on August 18 and Auckland on the following Wednesday. B. C. Gray was granted a transfer from Athletics to Ponsonby. Btch- ' mond were granted permission to travel to Taumarunui on Saturday. The Lower Waikato League applied for a match against an Auckland senior steam and a junior representative team at TauplrL The matter was deferred for a week and in the meantime the chairman will Interview clubs who will have byes ln the near future. The ■ chairman reported that while in Christ- ' church recently he Interviewed the Canterbury League and made arrangements for a ; farther match for the Auckland Tramway"s team during their visit to Christchurch to ! play for the Tramways' Shield.
