Most of the lienore on ihe money owing to George Morris, the absconded builder, on a house he wae building for George Walker when he (Morrie) left many business firms of Auckland lamenting, proved their claims at the Supreme Court this morning. Mr. Goulding explained that the sum of £903 odd, representing the balance owing by Walker to Morris, after the house had been completed by another contractor, had >been paid into Court. "We ask for a release of the liens and clearance from the varioue claims," eaid counsel. "Do you atfjnrt the other claims?' , asked His Honor. '1 am unable to dispute them. Burne and Co., £28 11/ (iMr. Shorland); Henderson and Pollard, £377 2/9 (Mr. Inder); Hardie Bros., £48 16/ (Mr. Hore); Brieeoe-and Co., £73 9/5; Winstones, Ltd., £506 18/ (Mr. Bagnall); Kauri Timber Company, £880 3/11 (Mr. J. Johnstone); Gnthrie, Bowron and Co., £30 18/10 (Mr. J. Johnstone).
