That having married a woman at Auckland on January 5, 1914, he did go through a .form of marriage with another woman on May 15, 1922, thereby committing bigamy, was the charge preferred against William Arthur Perry, (31), for whom Mr. McNab appeared. On the application of Chief-Detective Mcllveney accused was remanded till July 2. A STREET PEST. Henry Spence (59), who begged the Magistrate not to publish his name, only to learn that his Worship was not a publisher, was fined £3, with expenses | £3, for wilful exposure. Christopher Stafford (56), and James McArthur ] (21), who were found fighting in Fort Street, were each fined 20/. For being drunk while in charge of a horse and cart, Frank Powley (48), was fined 40/. SERIES OF REMANDS. Frederick Thomas Kelly May (19) was remanded till July 2 on charges of having forged and uttered a cheque for £7 at Tuakau. A remand to the same date was granted in the case of David Hornell (32), charged that on June 21, at Auckland, he did steal a carpenter's kit bag of tools and clothing, to a total value of £19. A SERIOUS CHARGE. Angus Taylor (29) was remanded till July 2 on a charge of having committed rape at Otahuhu on a girl aged 19. Bail was allowed in one surety of £500. ALLEGED BREAKING AND ENTERING. That he did break and enter the dwelling of John James O'Meara on June 14 by day, and steal therefrom £17 in mone.> and a coat valued at £2 10/, was the charge preferred against Alfred Norman O'Meara (26), who was remanded till July 2.
