LIQUOR FROM CANADA.
SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS. REJECTED BY THE HOUSE. (Received 11.30 a.m.) OTTAWA, June 21. The House of Commons defeated two bills submitted with the object of curbing liquor, exportations. The first ' sought to make it unlawful to ship .liquor to any foreign country until a .! consular certificate from that country was granted showing that the importation was legal under its laws. The second bill proposed to make it unlawful to export liquor by any vessel previously in the liquor trade unless the ' owners proved that the former cargo reached the port of destination. The passage of these bills would have considerably reduced importations to the t'nited States, which are legal so far as the 'Canadian law is concerned. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
