LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
MATCHES FOR TO-MORROW.
The senior competition of the Auckland 'Rugby League will be advanced a further stage to-morrow afternoon, when another series of interesting matches is set down for decision, chief interest will centre in the game between Athletics and City, which will lie played on No. 1 ground, at Carlaw Park. Athletics are undefeated so far this season, while City and Mnrists have each lost one match. If City succeed in lowering Athletics' colours the competition will develop into a very interesting one, for there will be three teams level. If the conditions arc at all favourable for back play City should go very near turning the tables on Athletics. In any circumstances, however, the game should be well wortli .witnessing. On Xo. 2 ground Ponsonby I will meet Richmond, and the former should win this match, while at Devonport Marish Old Boys should account for the local thirteen. The teams selected ,for to-morrow's matches are: —
