CHURCH SCHOOL DEDICATION.
TAKAPUXA METHODISTS. The ceremony of dedicating thft neir Methodist Church school at Takapuna toot plUie on \Vedne3day ni;;ht ana proved a most successful salhering. The interest in tbe forward movement at Xakapuna was evidenced by the fact that the offertory towards the building fund was over £10". Two years ago a manse was ercted, and it is proposed later on to erect a church. Already £iWO has been expended in purchasing the site aud erecting tbe present fine building.
Over -100 friends attended the dedication service last evening, which was conducted by the president of the New Zealand Melodist Conference, Rev. If. 11. ltothwell, assisted by the rice-president. Mr. 11. Field. The Rev. T. R. I!. ■VVoollosnll, minister of the uira-reh, and the Uev J. Lochore, »l Ivpsom Methodist Churrh. assisted at the service, which was an impressive one. The musical portion <>f the service was most rOV.-tivc, being rendered by a choir of Sβ voices, including members from ihi» other l'rr.testant churches In the district. The it.-ins -.-iven were J:i. ksnn's "Te T'euin I.au'lair.us," ihe ••Hallelujah Chorus" (Ilindeli. and the anthem, -Send (.hit Thy I.lniit."
