Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report:— At the Feilding sale this day there was a moderate yarding of both sheep ami opttle, prices for sheep all round being easier, lambs showing a drop in price of 1/0 per head. Quotations: Fnt lamlis, 21/ to 2.",/; light fat ewes, 21/ to 23/; light fat wethers, 211/7; good w.f. lambe, 10/, 20/4 to 22/0 for extra good; m.a. ewes, LI. Romney rams, 24/2 to 27/1. The only quotable line of cattle was a pen of very forward Hereford cross bullocks, which realised £5 15/6. LIVERPOOL WOOL SALES. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 18th Inst.: — Bawra Wool Sales.—Liverpool Bawra wool sales generally 5 per cent to 7* per cent lower than May 11. WAIHI RETURNS. The Waihi Gold Mining Company, during the 21 crushing days ended June 9, crushed and treated 10.358 tons of ore for a return of 5052 fine ounces of gold and 37,800 fine ounces of silver. In the corresponding ppriod of last year 14.485 tons were crushed and treated for a yield of 39450z of gold and 36,.=iSuoz of silver. The following information has been cabled to the head office of the company in London :—No. 9 level, Edward lode: Driving south, the next 21ft assays 76/4 per ton. At 900 ft the full width of the reef is 15ft, averaging 79/ per ton. No. 10 level, Edward lode: Driving south, the next 23ft assays 22/ per ton. No. 12 level: The Edward lode in the crosscut from the Trout winze for ton. The lull width of the ree?ls a e6ft,"' No' 13 level, Martha lode: Driving past commencing at 400 ft, the next 50ft assays 23/9 per ton. No. 14 level: Crosseutting to tho north, the next 2Dft is country rock. Commencing at liGft, the country rock-is soft and disturbed. Owing to heavy pressure of water at OGft on the north-west wall of the rc-ef, it was considered advisable to suspend crosscut to the north, and commence driving Dorth-eaet on the south-east wall. ZEEHAN CONSOLIDATED. Mr. H. Frank Shepherd, mine superintendent, reports as follows for the weeU ending the 16th June, that no work has been done underground, owing to the heavy rains causing a slip which closed the mouth of the level. The work of clearing is about finished, and the re-timbering on the way. It Is expected to resume driving on Thursday.
