EXTIU KAIL FACILITIES. The Winter Show Committee met at . the Auckland A. and P. Association's rooms this afternoon, Mr. *-■. xJ. AicLennan presiding. The District j rathe Manager of Railways wrote stating that it was proposed to put on a train for Papakura, to leave I Auckland at 1<1.30 p.m. on Wednesday, ! If 1 additional trains were required it would Ibe necessary to ask for guarantees. It was anticipated that holiday excursion tickets to Auckland would lie issued the same as last year, but he would advise , later. The matter was referred to a j committee for tlie purpose of going into I the whole matter of train arrangements. j The Auckland Harbour Board wrote stating that when the use. of the four sheds on the Central wharf was granted to. the committee it was thought these I would meet all requirements. It was not contemplated that any roofing in of the roadways would he necessary. There I was apparently no prospect of the quanI ity of shipping decreasing, and the Hoard J regretted that it could not see its way Ito depart from its decision to grant the use of the sheds for ten days only. The chairman stated that he had interviewed the chairman of the Board, and an understanding had been come to. The committee could have the privilege of roofing the area required provided the traffic to the sheds was not interfered with. Mr. J. P. Kalaugher reported that he had interviewed various firms concerning the roots section, and it was anticipated j that a fine display would be made in I this department at the show.
