'VARSITIES PLAY N.S.W. STUDENTS BEATEN 33 TO 19. SYDNEY, June 4. A New South Wales fifteen defeated the combined Universities' team by 33 points to 19 in the presence of 4000 spectators. The game was lively and bristled with individual brilliance, but was lacking in tense situations. In the first half the Universities led by 16 to 10. Thomas, Diack, and Hart scored tries, of which Diack converted two, and Nothling kicked a penalty goal for the Universities. For New South Walc3. Raymond and Wogan scored tries and Mingay converted both. In the. second spell, New South Wales opened the game and added 23 points, while the Universities scored only three.
