CHANGE IN WEATHER.
SHOWERY SPELL BREAKS
AFTER A HEAVY DOWNPOUR. A pleasant change was experienced in the weather in Auckland to-day, wnen the consistent showery weather of the past few weeks gave "place to a clear blue sky. Yesterday the conditions were very 'boisterous, and completely marred the holiday arrangements. Light rains felt in the morning and in the afternoon and evening these increased to heavy downpours. The fall for the twenty-four hours ended at 0 o'clock this mornin" was .40in. The wind, which had changed from west to south this morning, bfew strongly yesterday, and registered a velocity of 232 miles during the twentyfour hours. The barometer has a risin" tendency, and this moraine stood at 30.104 in.
