THE HEALING MISSION.
MR. J. Jr. HICKSOyg VISIT.
During a sermon at the anniversary celebration of the Auckland City Mission last evening. Bishop Averill referred to the coming visit" of Mr. J. »• Hickson. He said that it was is theform of a religious revival' and stated "Mr. Hiekson is not merely coming b- re to heal everybody, but to help n≤ t0 realise that Jesiis is alive among tl ° to-day. If people casie to Christ * they came to Him when on earth, «'hy should they not receive tbe same love now. as at that earlier day?" s bishop reminded his hearers tliat could not perform his wonderful works at Kazareth because the people w* l * unbelieving. That showed the need W r people to-day to hold out the belief to bring His life into touch w"» their own. In conclusion. Bl5&0, Averill said: "1 want this diocese to prepare for this spiritual revival, lot that is what it is."
