ORIQUI BEATS KItBANE. KNOCK-OUT IN THE SIXTH. NEW YORK, June 3. Eugene Criqui won the feather-weight boxing championship of the world, knocking out Johnny Kilbane in the sixth of a ]5-round" bout. The fight was interesting for the manner in which tho Frenchman felt out his opponent in the first round, and then proceeded to take the nggressive. Criqui was wild in the second and third rounds, missing many rights and lefts to the face, being over-anxious to finish his man. In the fourth and fifth rounds Criqui succeeded in landing several heavy blows to the face. The end was in sight when Criqui staggered Kilbane with a terrific right to the nose at the end of the fifth round. Oriqui inflicted telling punishment in the sixth round. A hard right to the body, followed with a right to the jaw. resulted in the knock-out.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
