NEW ZEALAND BEATEN. 37 POINTS TO 11. SYDNEY, June 3. Sydney University turned the tables on the New Zealand University Rugby team yesterday, winning by 37 points to 11 after a patchy game that revealed weak defence on both sides. The Sydney team was much superior to the visitors in passing rushes. Most of the scores were dtie to excellence in this department. The New Zealand pack was superior to the opposing vanguard in the loose, but the nippinese of Stanley, Sheehan, and Nothling circumvented their promising movements. At half-time-the scores were: Sydney 14, New Zealand 0. At final: Sydney 37, New Zealand 11. The scorers for Sydney were: Stanley, scored a try, kicked a penalty goal, and converted three tries: Sheehan, converted two tries; Nothling, scored two tries and kicked a penalty goal; Foote, scored two tries; and Hingst and Caliaghan, one try each.
