(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ASHBURTOX, this day. Inquiries made by a reporter confirm recent rumours of a sensational reaut tion in wheat sowings. One farmer saw that the wheat area in his district wouia be reduced by a quarter below lasi year's, another by sixty per cent, ana another by fifteen per cent. The re porter concludes that the decrease generally will average one third.
