RUN OVER BY TRAIN.
AT GEORGE STREET CROSSING. OLD MAN BADLY HURT. Another bad accident happened this , afternoon at the dangerous level railway crossing at George Street, off the Xew North Road, Mount Albert. Just before two o'clock the train that was going out to Henderson rnn over an elderly man at the crossing and inflicted serious injuries. Dr. F. W. Fullerton vas quickly on the scene, and found that the : man's left foot was nearly severed, while ; there were also two big scalp wounds and the skull was fractured. The man was | in a very serious condition, and the '. doctor ordered his removal to the hospital at once. Up to the time the "Star" ' went to press the victim of the accident had not been identified. His condition is very serious. j
