RAILWAY SERVANTS.
a WANT A WAGES BOARD. WITH INDEPENDENT CHAIRMAN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Parliament will be asked by the Railway Servants.' Society .o constitute a board composed of representatives of tbe men and the department, with an outside chairman, to adjudicate in matters of dispute between the men and the management. There is stated to be dissatisfaction in the service over the method of settling disputes, and the men want a board similar to the wages boards which acted at the time of the strike in 1920, and again in the following year. These boards, the men consider, did good work, and a similar appointment, it is said, will remove discontent.
