T. P. O'CONNOR HONOURED BY M.P.'S.

LONDON, May lfi. On the occasion of his seventy-fifth birthday recently, M.. T. P. O'Connor, "Father" of the House of Commons, was honoured by 300 members, representing all parties. Mr. O'Connor was presented with a gold snuff box. The speakers included Mr. Stanley Baldwin. Mr. Lloyd George, Mr. Asquith, and Mr. Ramsay MacDonald. Replying, Mr. O'Connor said that his long life was due to the habit of retiring at 4 o'clock in tlie morning and rising at noon. His long political life was due to an innocent, loyal and confiding I constituency.
