SEIZED BAND INSTRUMENTS.
WATERSIDE FEDERATION BARRED.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, this day.
The matter of the seized Waterside Workers' Band instruments was before the Court yesterday... The Waterside Workers' Federation claimed tbe instruments on the ground that they were entitled to possession of . tttem as the Waterside Workers* Union had given that body a bill of sale over the whole of their assets. : • i
The question before the Court, was an application by the sheriff to determine whether this claim was valid. When tbe Case was called on, it was intimated that tbe federation would withdraw any claim to the. instruments.
His Honor Mr. Justice Hosking made an order that the federation should be barred, and* that no action could be brought against the sheriff in respect to the subject matter of the claim. Costs were allowed against the federation.
