ANNIVERSARY REGATTA. FINAL MEETING OF COMMITTEE. CREDIT BALANCE FOR YEAR. The final meeting of the Auckland Anniversary Regatta Committee for the 1!*23 regatta was held last evening In the Navy League rooms, Mr. J. M. Prater presiding. The report of the treasurer showed total receipts £773, and expenditure £G~:t, leaving a credit balance of £100. The receipts included f514 as donation!*, £120 from admission to dock, and £90 entrance fees. The prize money paid away totalled £.WO, while printing and advertising was £87. The general expenses showed an all round reduction on laßt year, and the prize money was a little more. In moving the adoption of the balance sheet Mr. Prater said it was satisfactory to know that the past regatta bad been a success from overy point of view, and to keep faith with the promise given to the Auckland Yacht and Motor Roat Assoc:ai7ou to make a donation from the surplus funds towards the coat of carrying out the ■Sanders Cup contest, he moved that £70 lie handed over to that body. Mr. Wilkinson seconded, and said that the races for the Sanders Cup. and the two events for this class on Hegatta Dtiy. created great interest amongst the general public. A Tote of thanks was passed to all officials and other helpers on the day, and to Mr. Frater, the hope being expressed that hp would see bis way to accept nomination as chairman next year.
