NEW INDUSTRY IN SYDNEY. As much as £40.000.000 worth of various kinds of silk fabrics have been imported into Australia in one year, and this has led to the starting of a silk weaving mill at Itedfern, Sydney. This wait opened recently by the Governor of New South Wales, who expressed the hope that the keeping of silk worms for the production of the raw material would In due course become a profitable cottace industry in Australia.
