A constable accosted him and inquired his destination. "Anywhere," waa the laconic reply. "Where do you live?" was a question that evoked the same reply. But it was followed 'by a. request to be locked up, as the talkative one had no pliie« to go. Benior%?ergeant Rawle stated that this was Carey's nineteenth appearance. His last appearance but one had teen for 'begging alms. Tho Magistrate: he wanted to be locked up? Yes, he would be better up there. Probably lie has not had a wash for a long time. One month." CHARGE Or THEFT. A remand till April ."> war granted in the ease of Terence John MclCenna (22), charged with the theft of £:>. Bail was allowed in the turn of £50. ALLEGED GAMING HOUSE. Cornelius McDevitt (Mr. Leary), was remanded till April 11 on a charge of having kept a common gaming house in Customs street.
