THE CARNIVAL.
BANDS QUICKSTEP DISPLAY. The Summer Carnival was brought to a conclusion on Saturday evening with a Bands quickstep display at the Domain and the last of a series of carnival revue concerts in the concert chamber of the Town Hall. About 8000 persons attended at the Domain, and all greatly enjoyed ; the fine music and excellent marching by the following bands on parade: Onehunga Brass Band, Ponsonby Boys' Band, Auckland City Band, Auckland Artillery Band, Auckland Waterside Workers' Band, Otahuhu Brass Band, Temperance Guards Band, Auckland -Mounted Bides Band, and the Birkenhead Municipal 'hand. After the quickstep demonstration all the hand* assemWed in front of the pavilion and played the National Anthem. Tinarrangements in connection with the bands demonstration were made by the Auckland Bands Association.
