SCOUT NEWS.

(By PATHFINDER.) The St. Barnabas Troop, with a roll of 40 scouts, are doing good work. They have been very fortunate in securing the services of Mr. \V. Moore, formerly of Hamilton, as scoutmaster. Mr. Moore is taking a very keen interest in the troop, anil is busy preparing a squad in nuarterstafT for the coming rally. Last Friday evening was devoted to games, there being 33 scouts and IT cubs on parade; a most enjoyable time was spent. This troop is working strictly on the patrol svistem. there being no doubt as to its success. There was 11 good muster present at last Saturday's rehearsal. j The senior members of the Orey Lynn ! Troop met in their new den last Saturday i evening. Tbe evening was devoted to iec- i ttirettes by the scouts on different subjects. ' including scout law, first aid. knots, national economy, administration of justice, and local government. Kach subject was fully discussed find proved of great interest. On Saturday afternoon the lire-tie;hting traiv. were busy preparing for their stunt on May jth. j Ponsonby held a most successful parade on Monday evening. There was a good done.
