Two of the strong guards erected to protect the trees planted along Quay Streot. opposite the- power house, have been knocked down and sma-hoil cither by deliberate vandalism nr the careless action of vehicle drivers. () !lo o f the trees is dead, apparently, but the other is still alive, but in jrrrive danger of destruction without the protective guard.
