Phillips and Co., England, \va3 fined £23 for delivering a. document to tie Customs Department erroneously stating certain goods to he "wholly or partially made in the United Kingdom.'' whereas they were, wholly manufactured in Fiance. The charge referred to a con signment of beads, which, as they were made in France, were liable to heavier duty. Counsel said similar mistakes had been made on previous occasions.
