MOTOR SPEED RECORD.
AUCKLAND TO WELLINGTON.
W. S. Miller'e record from Auckland to Wellington of 16hra. 7min. in a Chandler car, is to be attacked by the Campbell Motors, Limited, in their Durant car. The car will be driven by Geo. L. Campbell and Leslie F. Bedford. Campbell-was with W. S. Miller when the latter's record was established, when he acted as observer and timekeeper. . The Durant will leave Wellington on Monday morning. at 3 a.m., 12th inst.,. and, in order to lower the present, rT,*'. cord, it must arrive in Auckland before 7.7 p.m. the same day. Everything: depends upon the weather, and it is to be hoped that the present fine stretch keeps up until at least the trip is run.
