LAND AGENTS AT LAW. (By Te'.egrapli.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Two firms of Hamilton land agents were in tho Hamilton Court recently, when K. 11. Wood (Mr. Powell) sued Revcll and Jacobsen (Mr. J. F. Strang) for ._!>£ for comm cion allegedly due on the sale of a farm pioperty at RuKuhia. The evidence shoved that a client npproached Wood with respect to purchasing a property. Wood showed him jver the farm in question und the cli?nt rpptired impresiod with the proposition, and promised to consider it. In the ••neantime, on looking around t*ie town, he drifted into Revcll and Jacobsen's office, and amongs', their properties to which lie was taken by a member of this firm, was the one alrerly shown him by Wood. The client mentioned that Wood had already conducted him over the farm, but he did no 1 , like the terms of the mortsage. Defendant's salesman then took him up to the vendor's solicitors, where the mortgage was explained to him in such a way that be decided to purchase, and defendants drew the commission.

The Magistrate (Mr. IT. A. Young, S.M.), in giving reserved judgment yesterday, said he was satisfied that Wood was mainly instrumental in the sale of thp property, and gave judgment for plaintiff for the full amount, with costs.
