CASE FOR THE LEAGUE.

A BRITISH SUGGESTION. LONDON, February 27. Lord Robert Cecil, chairman of the executive of the British League of Nations Union, has issued a statement in which he announces that the union, recognising that the forcible occupation of the Ruhr constitutes an extreme and immediate danger to Europe's peace and the economic welfare of many countries, urges the necessity of having international problems centreing in reparations brought forthwith before the Council or Assembly of the League. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
