HOSPITAL PATIENTS.
STREET COLLECTION TO BE MADE. Ar appeal will be made to the Auckland public on Friday by means of street collections for the Auckland hospital patients' and family fund. A report presented at a meeting of the committee last evening showed that the amount collected last year was £816 12/11 which was expended in meeting acute distress among hospital patients and their families. The eommitte was able during the year to assist 219 families comprising 480 children. It is hoped that there will be a liberal response to the appeal of the trustees who are the Mayor, Mr. J, H. Gunson, and the Hon. C. J. Parr.
