Only two competitors. G trombone solo: G. Humphrey (Wanganui), 06 points; L. Hardgrave (Xew Plvmotlth), 91 points; P. Wansborough (Wanganui), and A. Handley (New Plymouth), 90 points. There were seven competitors. NEW PRESIDENT ELECTED. (By Telegraph.—Prfss Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. The annual meeting of the North Island Brass Bands Association is proceeding. Mr. Cohen, of Wanganui, retired after thirteen years' presidency, and was made a life member. Mr. E. R. B. Holben, of Palmerston North, is the new president.
