Some time ago regulations governing the grading and cage-branding of fruit were, brought in, and an important stjpulation was the use of standard cases or packages. It is reported that many growers have not complied with the regulations in regard to the cases and the Orchard Department is issuing imperative orders on the matter. In some instances second-hand cases with the brands of other growers are taken advintage of without the original brand be.ng effaced.
