WIMBLEDON'S RENUNCIATION. CONDON, February 24. Mr. Wallis Myers, writing in the "Daily Telegraph.'' reports that there, is general satisfaction among all lawn tennis players at Monte Carlo at the abolition of the term "World's championships'" at the Wimbledon tournament. He declares that the renunciation involves no loss of prestige or dignity to the Wimbledon championships. It is suggested that other national championship meetings, like the Australian and French, should receive recognition equal to that accorded the Wimbledon championships from the International Lawn Tennis Federation.
