YACHT RACE AT TAMAKI.
A yacht race was held on the Tamakl Hirer on Saturday in connection with the Otahnhu Band Carnival. The course was up and down the river, nnd the entries were: Aoma scratch. Karo 15m. Caprice 22m, Sea Weed 27m. Sea Dot 30m. Sea Dot was first away, all the handicaps being at the start. While beating up to Flat Uock buoy Karo capsized and her crew were in the water for some time before tipy were rescued by a launch. The finish was: Cnprice 3h 10m. Sea Dot 3h 14m. Aoma 3h 13m. Sen Weed 3b 16m. Caprice wins, with Sen Dot second, and Aoma third.
