Powell. arrived at Auckland* this morning from the East Coast to the agency of Messrs. A. O. Frankham. Ltd. She was last eeen here more than ten years ago. when owned by the Northern 'Coal Company, and has since been largely engaged in coastal trade to Westport and Greymouth and other West Coast ports from Hawke's Bay to Wellington. Her present, charter expires at the end of March, and in the meantime she Is expected to make several visits to Auckland. She can carry ISC tons of cargo and steams about nine knots. 50 hours owing to strong head winds. On her return to Gisborne, via Tokomaru Baj and Tolago Bay. the Ttaden Powell Is expected to fiail on Tuesday next.
