Galbraith, who is relinquishing the charge of the Paparoa Post Office to accept a new appointment on tne f iff of the General Post Office, Wellington. Mr. Oalbraith's effi-
cient service nnd the uniform courtesy he has shown in the discharge of his duties has been highly appreciated by the public. Mr. Ceo. Wright presided, and Mr K. Hame.* on behalf of the residents made the presentation of a gift intended to keep Paparoa friends in memory. The address appreciated Mr. Galbraith's efforts for the advancement of the district, and spo'.<e in terms of sincere appreciation of his able discharge v." his duties and obliging service. It was signed by representatives of the County Council and local associations, a suitable response was made by the recipient on behalf of himself and Mrs. (ialbraith. He regretted severing his connection with the district. He had made many friends, and thanke.i the settlers for tbe kindness shdwn. A programme of musical items and dancing, contributed to the evening's enjoyment.
