A WIFE'S "HOLIDAY."
WITH ANOTHER MAN.
ASSAULT WITH A RAZOR
ONE IX HOSPITAL. ONE IX GAOL
(By Telegraph— Own Correspondent.)
WANCJAXfUI, this day
\ sensational occurrence at Aramoho last night tru responsible for an Aramoho resident being made an inmate of the hospital, suffering from severe injuries inflicted, it is alleged, by a razor, and a Wellington resident made an inmate of the local gaol, suffering remorse in now having to defend his impulsive action. It appears that a married woman residing in Wellington made arrangements to go on a holiday- to N'efeon and came to Aramoho instead. Her husband followed her to Wanganui, and investigations resulted in the discovery that the wife was staying with another man at Aramoho, whose wife was away on holiday. The visitor's husband came on tin , scen-e in the early hours this morning, and found his wife in company with t!ie other man.
A nfrioue fight occurred, the outraged husband usinig a razor rather freely on the body of his antagonist. The Wanganui man, who occupies rather a good position, was ibadly slashed, and will be an inmate of the hospital for some days.
The Wellington resident came before the Court thi.s morning, greatly distressed at the occurrence, and the tinfortunate position he now finds himself in. He refused bail, preferring to be the guest of His Majesty until the case is tried next week rather than have itis liberty.
