CRICKET.
AUCKLAND TOURING TEAM. SOUTH TARANAKI MATCH. (By Telegraph—rPress Association.) HAWERA, this day. The Auckland touring cricket team reached Hawera on Thursday, and practised during the day in- readiness for their match against South Taranaki, which began to-day in good weather and on a fair wicket. South Taranaki batted first, but could not do much against Arblaster and Coates, the former securing six wickets for 48 runs, and the latter three wickete for 35 runs. The innings realised just a century. The principal scorers were: Penny 25, Prafct 15, Little 14, Furrie 11.
