Yesterday* afternoon, ac the ferry boat was at the Xorthcote wharf a passenger was noticed on the boat well aft with a lishinj*- line in llis hand. The man on the wharf held one end, and when the Albatross was about twenty yards away from the wOiarf the passenger, on receipt of a signal from the man. dropped the einker into the water, thus ' enabling the fisherman to place his bait yards beyond where he could otherwise throw it.
