TOURNAMENT NKARING TERMINATION. Brilliant weather conditions prevailed thlg, morning when the Auckland Lawn TeniiTs , Association's annual handicap tournament I was continued. Most of tbe eliminating rounds were completed yesterday, and tills morning tbe semi-flnal stage* were reached In several section*. The finals will probably be played tblß afternoon or early In the forenoon to-morrow. A good exposition of the (tame wan given this morning by Entwistle and tbe Grammar .School champion. ! Sturt. Entwietle, who has an excellent forehand drive, was not making full use of his natural advantage, and If he had done so the match would probably have gone to three sets. In the ladles' championship singles Miss Helene Easterfleld (Otago University) defeated Miss Moorhouse in the semi-final, 4 —6, 6—3, 7—5, and repeated her success In the Anal, winning from Miss Suttie (Remuera), 6—2, 6—4. The ladies' doubles was won by Misses Moorhouse and Suttie against Misses Holmes and Sledge, 6—3, 6—2.
