Ufarold Richard Peard, due for public examination in bankruptcy, has again failed to appear at the Supreme Court to-day. Council for the Official Assignee said it was reported that a police sergeant in Auckland had seen Peard aboard a steamer leaving for Sydney, ■but his name was not in the passenger list. The case was adjourned sine die to enable the assignee to make _ any necessary application. Council said it was alleged that Peard had committed extraditable offences.
