U.S.A. PROHIBITION.
APrUOAiBLK TO SHIPPING. The Consul-General for the United States lias received the following from the Secretary of the Treasury, Washington. D.C.:— ''The provisions of the National Prohibition Act are applicable to the vessels of the United .States , leaving foreign ports after October 21st, and to foreign vessels leaving foreign ports after that date on coming within the territorial waters of the United States. 1 All sales of beverage liquors on United j-States vessels anywhere, and foreign vessels within the territorial waters ol ' the United States, are unlawful after October 7th. This notice doe* not aipply to foreign vessels passing through the Panama Canal and not touching any other port under the jurisdiction of the United States."
