MEETING OF COLLEGE COUNCIL. The Hon. Ceo. Fowlds presided over tlie ! meeting of the Auckland University College Council yesterday afternoon There wore also present: l>r. T. W. The council approved of the condition? of appointment of a new registrar for the collot-e. It was decided to advertise for ! applicants immediately, and that the suej i.'PSßful applicant should commence duties curly in January. I The council having approved of the 'appointment of a full time classics assistant, applications for tlie position are to be j invited. On the recommendation of the Education Committee the national endowment grant n-jis allocated ns follows:—Workers' Fducntional Association, £300; library. j£180; science laboratories. £1SO; School of i Architecture. £132. ! A" volume of routine business was transacted, wlaile a considerable- number of items on tbe agenda paper were either various committees.
