The conference passed resolutions | affirming the moral urgency of ;i cam- ! paijjn against liquor; also reaffirming j the horror of war and rejoicing in tlie j development of the growing influence of the League of Xations. In regard to divorce, it was resolved: "That tlvo hoads of the several churches he approached with the view to concerted action to bring pressure upon Parliament to remove from the Statute Book the provisions for facile divorce by which the institution of marriage ; is imperilled.
