S.S. ANNIVERSARY.

The Methodist Sunday School of St Johu's. Ponsonby, celebrated its fortyfourth anniversary on Sunday, and tbe services throughout tbe day were In every way a conspicuous success. The Rev. C. H. Olds. 8.A.. circuit superintendent, conducted the services to a crowded church. At the evening service thechurch proved inadequate to accommodate the crowd of people. The preacher's subject at the morning set vice was "A Candle." and in tbe afternoon "A Talr of Scales." To a crowded church lit the evening service the Rev. Mr. Obis I gave a stirring evangelical address from the text ••Behold I Stand at the nnor and Knock."
