TAKAPUNA LOAN.
BIG ROADING SCHEME. A scheme to put the main roads t Takapuna borough in first-class order asphalt being favoured with a view to reduction in the cost of upkeep, was briefly discussed by the Borough Council at its meeting last evening. The total estimated cost is £48,000, but it is suggested that authority should be obtained to raise loans in two sums of £25,000" each, the idea being to adopt a comprehensive programme extending perhaps over ten years. Further consideration was deferred for three weeks.
